Gabriella Koranteng

Co-founding Director & Managing Director, Empower Workforce Solutions

‘Human Resources became an interest due to my quest to understand Human behavior and ultimately how we can drive all forms of behavior towards business success. In my HR experience, I have found that most companies over complicate HR strategies hence my approach to HR is simple: Find, Educate, Engage, Reward = Keep!’

Gabriella is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD) UK and of the Institute of Human Resource Practitioners (IHRMP), Ghana. She holds an MA in Human Resource Management (Leeds University, Leeds, UK) and a BA in Psychology and Information Studies (Univ. of Ghana). She has held various HR related, Corporate, and Communications positions mostly senior management and consultancy in diverse industries which include Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, Telecommunications, Exclusive Retail and International Conservation.

This presents her with a rich and diverse industry knowledge and background which she effectively utilizes to give guidance to clients in the areas of Industrial Relations, manpower efficiency, employee motivation and Human Resource Strategy.


Asha Bello-Yingling

Co-founding Director of the Empower Group of Companies.

With a focus in I/O Psychology, Asha holds a BA (Hons) in Psychology. Due to her keen interest at the time in the job industry, Asha chose to focus her research on Job Satisfaction in Ghana. She from there went on to work in various establishments with the main goal of understanding human behaviour and relationships in the workplace.

Currently, as the decision maker and manager accountable for all day-to-day aspects of the business she steers Empower Facilities Management to becoming the premium partner for quality and reliable building services in Ghana and within the entire West African sub-region and beyond it is set out to be.

With her network of industry relationships, Asha is now using her knowledge of and passion for the workforce industry to partner with clients across the country to get Empower recognised on a global scale as an unrivalled workforce solutions provider.

Edwin Obiri

Co-founding Director

Edwin has held several Business Management and Investment roles in South Africa and Ghana. In 2006 he joined the Corporate Finance team at Citigroup South Africa covering East Africa and Non-Presence countries and eventually joined the Fixed Income Currencies and Commodities team in Johannesburg as a Corporate Sales Dealer with specific product coverage of commodities, foreign exchange and money markets structured products.

He has founded and co-founded several businesses including Powerbet Gaming (PTY) Ltd, which he has since sold to Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) Listed Purple Capital Ltd, Africore Energy Ltd which engages in the trading of petroleum products into several African countries, Empower Group Holdings Limited and African Business Connector Pty Ltd.
